Private instruction is provided by a NY State Certified & Licensed driving school instructor in your own vehicle you provide.

The local meeting location is at the Hudson Falls Middle School, Primary School or Intermediate School. Remote meetings may also be available at a higher rate.

You will utilize your own provided vehicle you intend to use during your state road test. Learning in your own vehicle is crucial.

Your vehicle you provide for lessons, and, for an official road test must meet all New York State Vehicle & Traffic laws, rules, regulations.

Your vehicle should be clean inside and in good working order. Please remove all items which may obstruct the windshield.

Parents are not required to attend but are encouraged to do so. (FYI: Parents are not allowed to ride along during any official NYSDMV road test.)

Instruction focuses on road test preparation including vehicle control, parallel parking, 3 point turns, intersections and defensive driving.

Appointments may be cancelled by the instructor due to safety concerns, inclement weather or as deemed necessary for any reason.

Cancellations requested by a student, parent, or related, require 12 hours notice minimum or the full instruction fee will apply.

Cancelled appointments may not be rescheduled.

This class is the first required step in the licensing process.

We only offer this course live-online. There are no in-person class options.

The New York State 5 Hour Pre-Licensing Course is required for all new drivers prior to scheduling their New York State road test.

All class registrations are made directly through the registration form and Rob Ashe by phone, or text message.

A valid New York State photo learner permit is required to register, attend the class, and receive your MV-278 Course Completion Certificate.

The MV-278 Course Completion Certificate attendees receive is valid everywhere in New York State for the road test.

The class will be provided through Google Meet and hosted live online. Make certain to have the latest version of Google Meet installed on your device.

ALL ages of permit holders may attend this live online class. There are no age restrictions for this class as it is hosted live online.

Attendees must use a personal Google account to access the meeting. School accounts won't allow outside meeting access.

Attendees must use an electronic device (PC, tablet, phone, etc.) with a reliable internet connection that is capable of providing 2-way audio and video communication.

All MV-278 Completion Certificates will be mailed via USPS First Class Mail within 2 business days after the class ends. *Local pickup is also available.*

The class fee is payable online through Venmo, Cash app and PayPal.  *Payment in-person is also accepted.*

Check payments cannot be accepted.

Replacement MV-278 certificates will be processed and mailed for a $15 replacement fee.
